Why it works

Knowing is not doing

Leaders usually know what fuels their energy. On a full working day, it simply slips. The largest analysis of behaviour research to date shows that knowledge barely changes behaviour. Habits have by far the strongest effect.

That is why Mental Energy is not another training. It uses Micro Habits: small habits in the working day itself. Small enough for the busiest day, and that is why they stick.

What a training delivers

Four I's, and it stops at intention

  • Informationyou know it
  • Insightyou get it
  • Inspirationyou want it
  • Intentionyou plan to do it

Until the next morning. Then the daily grind wins.

What Micro Habits add

We start where the training stops

  • Integrationyou do it, every day
  • Impactyou see results

Five minutes a day, for eight weeks. That's how an intention becomes a habit.

One leader reaches a whole team, every day.

Who it's for

Why leaders in particular?

How employees feel at work depends largely on their manager. Just as much as on their partner at home. That's why we start there: when one manager changes, the whole team notices.

They can make or break it

A leader influences the team's energy, enjoyment and resilience every day.

Their behaviour is contagious

Emotions and energy spread through a team. What the leader radiates, the team takes on.

One entry point, a whole team

If one leader's behaviour changes, the whole team notices. That is why Mental Energy starts with them.

The programme

Eight weeks, four themes

Two weeks per theme: week one the habit for yourself, week two the same habit with your team. Plus one group challenge.

Week 1–2

Sight on energy

Self-regulation costs energy. When it runs out, autopilot takes over.

For yourself
Check your energy every day

With your team
Do a team check

Week 3–4

Build in recovery

It is not the effort that wears you down, but the lack of recovery.

For yourself
Build in one recovery moment

With your team
Take a team pause

Week 5–6

Undivided attention

Attention is the scarce resource. Every task switch costs.

For yourself
Give full attention once

With your team
Plan a focus block

Week 7–8

Visible example

What the leader does, the team copies.

For yourself
Make healthy working visible

With your team
Share a healthy choice

A taste

This is how you recharge

Not in one go. One Micro Habit a day, visible in your streak, your week and your team. Small enough to keep.

Mental Energy

From empty to full

Every Micro Habit fills the ring. First you, then your week, then the team.
